Royal Salute

I directed this promotional video for Royal Salute Whiskey, to celebrate their 25 year-old blend. In collaboration with illustrator Kristjana Williams we aimed to create a feeling of opulence and elegance, playing on the brand’s royal heritage in a playful and whimsical way.

Dealing with 2D assets can often be tricky in a 3D space. I aimed to create a hybrid style, featuring the flat illustrations within a 3D tactile, papercraft-like environment. The use of gold-embossed foil blocking, velvet, textile-like textures aims to play off the product packaging in a fitting way, being both charming and also premium.
