Toxic Pop

While at ustwo I worked on an own-IP iPhone game, which was to be released by the studio. Working in a small team I was involved with the concept-generation and ultimately the visual design for the game.

Sadly, the project never saw the light of day, but I hope that by posting the designs here, they may serve to inspire someone else!

The game involves a variety of brightly-coloured 'toxic' materials, that aim to inject a fun sense of character into the game. The player must drag the slowly-advancing Toxic nasties to the bottom of the screen, where they can be grouped by their colour.

Tap the grouped colours to 'pop' them. Bigger groups give bigger points. However, if you let the Toxic squares reach the centre divider you lose the game.

Early concepts. We initially went with a 'marshmallow physics' route, but we quickly realised it wasn't the way forward.
